in my situation ,i had just lost my mom and i couldnt keep her house because she was living in a handicapp apt on gov.housing and i was in a halfway house .i find a article in the paper saying 379.00 a month so i called and spoke with someone at lexington garden and it wasnt ms kim at the time it was her niece and son .we agreed that 120.00 a week .i gave her 355.00 to move in that is first and last weeks rent plus 10 dollars more a week for my husband staying with me (wow) about a week went by and they came to me telling me that ,the niece misunderstood ma kim on the phone that, my apt was a upgrade because it has a side window that it would be more a month because of that all together i ended up paying 150.00 a week which is 600.00 a month if its 5 weeks in that month its 750.00 a month yes i do have a background and bad credict but i have changed my life around i just graduated drug court and i work everyday to make an honest living and i believe that it will be hard for me to find somewhere to move and i really cant afford it paying utilities and her 600.00 a month she has a add in the paper saying 379.00 a month but nobody pays that .i believe that i pay the most in rent over here to were i barely can afford to pay my lightbill .she doesnt care,my deadbolt dont even lock my door it hasnt since i been here,she knowws about that i have a plexiglass in my bathroom window ,i have mold everywhere around my tub and tile baddd,and my kitchen windows dont even open they have been put in backwards but they donot open ,she pays crackheads to go in and clean out the apts.when people move out and paint over sut and dust just any kind of way.she might buy them a beer or give them some dope money .i just really believ that she has over charged me and i let her tell me that nobody else would let me live in thier complex because of my background.people ask me how much i pay i tell them 600.00 tell look at me like im crazy ,i see that i aint in no shape to move so i just cash my check and give it to her.i have seen her evict people herself i have seen her try to take peoples personel belongings if they owe rent so im afraid ,all i got is the things that my mother left me and i dont want to come home one day and my stuffs out side and everybodys going thru it .i dont know of all the resources to find help or things like that so im afraid to lose my belongings i actually give this lady that much money a month and as a housekeeper thats hard .this is a true story and i am still a tenant because i feel that i have no way out.
